Vantage Point Pictures (VPP) is the multimedia limb of Vantage Point Arts (VPA). VPP is rooted in aesthetics, storytelling and multi-sensory communication. Most images on this site will be paired with brief passages to provide depth and invite you into the story being told.
There are places where time goes to take a break. Samfya is one of them. Here, the air flows freely, the light kisses the earth, and the water carries stories. Samfya Beach captures the soul of the town, with its peaceful tides and beautiful sights.
The point where creativity and humanity meet is not called art, it is called life. The best works of art do more than inspire or entertain; they edify and elevate the human experience. This image is not merely a depiction of an African in a position of power. It is the dream at the end of a tunnel darkened by classism and racism.
Every city has its own rhythm. Some are calm and reflective. Some hum quietly with nostalgia. And some pulse constantly with life. Lusaka belongs to the last kind. The city’s energy flows through its people and streets. Great East Road is the spine of Lusaka, connecting both people and places.

My name is Sylvester P. Mumba (also known as Xander). I am an author, a designer, photographer, poet, strategist and arts coach. My work revolves around philosophy and storytelling. My approach to photography is that of a thinker and storyteller. My goal is always to engage the viewer deeply, by conveying mood or telling an impactful story. Over the years, I've shot all sorts of events, people and products.
